Striders Shine Across Trails, Parks and the Med

Once again, Striders have been out in force, making the most of another busy weekend of running. Saturday saw a fantastic turnout at Worthing Park Run, with plenty of black and orange vests on show. Others took the opportunity to explore new routes — great to see our runners continuing to mix things up and enjoy running in different places.

We also had a strong presence at the South Downs Trail Run 12K and Half Marathon, where Striders took on the challenge of the rolling hills and scenic trails of the Downs. It was a tough course, but everyone showed real determination and grit to get through it. A big well done to everyone who took part and pushed themselves on such a demanding route.

A special mention goes to Tom, who delivered an impressive performance to finish in the top 10 of the Half Marathon — a brilliant result! And well done also to Dan W., who claimed second place in the 12K with his four-legged friend Lemmy, proving that teamwork comes in all shapes and sizes.

On Sunday, Striders were once again spread far and wide. Some travelled to Spain to take part in the Medio Maratón del Mediterráneo in Alicante, enjoying a sunny race by the sea, while others stayed local to tackle the Chanctonbury Ring, taking on that famous climb and testing their legs on the hills. Another great week of running, full of variety, determination, and true Striders spirit.
