Running sessions for all abilities
We regularly run group training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The locations and types of sessions vary, but all have an emphasis on social running. Frequently used locations are shown below, and members receive communications confirming details regularly, via Email and Facebook.
Group Runs
Thursday Evenings (Year Round)
We meet at 6.30pm either at Worthing Rugby Football Club or at other locations around the Worthing area, organised in advance. Runners are divided into ability, speed and distance groups to suit all needs and training requirements. A member of the committee will always run with any new members to ensure nobody is left behind.
Sunday Mornings (Year Round)
On Sunday mornings group often arrange small group runs. Throughout the year, club organised Sunday runs are arranged, often running from the Bluebird cafe, Ferring.
Coaching
Tuesday Evenings (April to Mid September)
During the Spring/Summer our structured training sessions are held in one convenient location: Highdown field (nr Highdown Gardens).
Tuesday Evenings (Mid September to March)
During the Autumn/winter Tuesday night training we rotate around 3 venues: Mill Road, Adur Avenue and Worthing Prom (opposite Marine Gardens). The venue is published via email and on the club’s app notice board but may be subject to change due to weather conditions.
Our Run Leaders and Coach
Our fantastic team of run leaders are experienced and UK Athletics qualified runners, supported by our dedicated run coach. Everyone is fully insured and all give their time voluntarily because they love running and enjoy helping others improve.
