Worthing Striders participated in the New Forest Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K races. Set within the splendid New Forest National Park, each distance offered a mix of terrains: gravel, trails, and a smattering of tarmac roads. The route was generally flat, perfect for those aiming for decent times. Our runners spanned the range of distances, and we’re chuffed to report lots of strong finishes!
The week leading up to the race saw an unexpected heatwave, leaving many of us fretting about the hot and humid conditions. However, on race day, the heavens opened and a bit of drizzle cooled everything down. This sudden shift in weather was welcomed with open arms, as it made for much more agreeable running conditions.
