Saturday saw Striders out in force once again, travelling to a wide range of Parkruns. Carolyn made the trip to Alice Holt parkrun, taking on the popular woodland course. Michelle and Anita headed to Greenwich Peninsula, enjoying the flat, fast route with views across the Thames.
Further along the coast, Sally ran at Eastbourne parkrun, while Malcolm and Lesley travelled to Horsham parkrun for a change of scenery. Closer to home, there was also strong representation at both Worthing and Littlehampton, with plenty of familiar faces turning out as part of their usual Saturday routine. It was great to see Striders spread out across so many different venues in one morning.
Sunday brought a real mix of events and training. A number of Striders took part in the Mental Elf Run on the Worthing seafront, running in support of MIND and helping to raise awareness for mental health.
At the same time, Amanda and Jo headed to Goodwood for the Aldingbourne Santa Charity Run, getting into the festive spirit while supporting a great cause.
Others took on a tougher off-road challenge at the Cranks Run in Findon, tackling the 8km and 10km routes around Cissbury Ring. A special well done to Ella, Kayleigh, Becky and Jason for beating that famous endless hill and earning their place on the Crancks Hall of Fame.
