Arunners Beach Run WSFRL

Worthing Striders proudly participated in the Arunners Beach Run, a unique event in the West Sussex Fun Run League. As the only race in the league held on a beach, this 5-mile out-and-back course provided a memorable experience for all.

The run started on East Green near Beach Crescent in Littlehampton at 7:30 pm, with participants heading east along the sandy shoreline towards Worthing. The scenic route offered stunning coastal views and a refreshing sea breeze, adding to the enjoyment and challenge of the race. The turning point was just past Pigeon House Lane in East Preston, where runners made their way back along the sand to finish at the same part of the green.

Our Striders embraced the unique conditions with enthusiasm, showcasing their adaptability and team spirit. The sandy terrain provided a different kind of challenge, but our runners tackled it with determination and smiles.

A huge thank you to our volunteer coaches and pacers who provided invaluable support and encouragement throughout the race. Their presence truly embodies the supportive community that defines Worthing Striders.
